The Taylors Falls United Methodist Church was awarded a state Historical Society Grant of $10,000.
The Funds are out of the Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage grant pool of $283,000 total awarded to 17 historic organization applications.
The money was generated through a vote of the people in 2008, approving the Legacy Amendment sales tax.
The church will utilize the funding to hire a qualified architect to conduct an assessment of the condition of the church. Taylors Falls United Methodist is on the National Register of Historic Places.
