Together With Friends Bible Day Camp

Together With Friends is a multi-denominational day camp that runs through the summer months of June and July from 9am to 12pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our focus is on providing a safe, positive, learning environment for children of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and beliefs. We cycle between the different church’s of Taylors Falls.

Together With Friends started in 1996 with the combined efforts of the Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran and Catholic churches in Taylor's Falls. The idea was give the Taylor's Falls elementary students, and other children of the community a safe place to learn and grow during the summer. As a partnership between the various churches, we focus on what we all agree on, the forgiveness and love of Jesus Christ.

Come and Join us this year as we explore one of our five reoccurring themes!

Any child entering Grades 2-6 in the fall is eligible to be a Camper! Anyone who is entering grade 7-12 in the fall is welcome to join us on our Jr. Staff team! Anyone 18+ is invited to join our Adult Staff.

The cost for Campers per session is 2 dollars. There is a max price of $40 per family for the summer. (So if you have multiple children, your price does not go above $40) *Note Financial scholarships are available at request. No one will be turned away because of inability to pay.

Campers are always welcome to bring friends!

Hospitality Groups

To better serve our congregation and visitors of the church, hospitality persons have been assigned for each Sunday service. There are two areas which members and non-members are assigned: ushers and greeters, and fellowship support.

Ushers and greeters need to be in church 20 minutes prior to the church service to turn on lights and to welcome those attending church. The first Sunday of each month envelops for the food shelf mission will need to be stuffed into the bulletin, and the third Sunday envelopes are needed for mission offering.

Fellowship support persons have volunteered to provide a treat to be served with coffee (provided by the church).

Holy Hands Puppeteer Ministry

Puppeteers wanted. The Holy Hands Puppeteer group is a ecumenical Christian puppet performance group. Their mission is to share the word of God and His good works through the stories told by puppets. These performances are for children of all ages and the message is shared through the puppets telling a story and music is a huge part of the exciting performance. All of the songs and dialog is prerecorded, all you need to do is to bring a puppet to life.

If you would like to join this group or want more information contact Sandra Berg at: tfbergs@gmail.com

We welcome everyone from the Taylors Falls area to come be a puppeteer. This is a fun and rewarding way to share the Word of God to the children and families in our community.

Compassion Outreach

Through collaboration with others, Compassion Outreach is dedicated to meeting the needs of vulnerable individuals and families in our community.

Basic Tenets of Compassion Outreach:

Recognizing that each person is a child of God, we serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us.

Through the building of relationships with those in need, this outreach seeks to reflect the examples of Christ's early ministry - to see a need, meet a need - by providing access to physical, emotional, and spiritual care.

Compassion Outreach works to provide point-of-contact for individuals and families in crisis.

Compassion Outreach is available for help in the Upper St. Croix River Valley region including Taylors Falls, MN, and St. Croix Falls, WI.

Taylors Falls Elementary School: Mentors Wanted

Wanted: Mentors for Friends Make a Difference Mentoring Program

Taylors Falls Elementary School currently partners with Friends Make a Difference to provide mentoring to students in grades 3-5.  Mentorship can make a positive difference in the life of a student, the mentor, and our community!

During mentorship, a student will meet with a mentee for 50 minutes once per month over lunch, which is provided.  Mentoring helps to build relationships, improve school attendance, and improves students’ attitude towards school.

We are in need of caring adults to make a difference with the kids in our community!
